Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) sudah mengumumkan nominasi Oscar 2023 dalam sebuah acara yang dipandu oleh Riz Ahmed dan Allison Williams. Nominasi Oscar ke-95 ini boleh dibilang memiliki banyak kejutan seru.
Fakta Seru Nominasi Oscar ke-95
Everything Everywhere All at Once mendapatkan nominasi paling banyak. Film ini berhasil meraih 11 nominasi, termasuk Best Picture, Best Directing, dan empat nominasi untuk akting. Menyusul setelahnya adalah film All Quiet on the Western Front dan The Banshees of Inisherin dengan 9 nominasi.
Yang tidak kalah menarik, tahun ini ada dua film box office yang juga meraih nominasi untuk kategori Film Terbaik. Kedua film itu adalah Avatar: The Way of Water dan Top Gun: Maverick.
Hal menarik lain, Angela Bassett menjadi aktor pertama yang mendapatkan nominasi untuk aktingnya di film Marvel. Para pemeran di film Marvel lain belum ada yang mendapatkannya.

Lalu, John Williams — dengan usia 90 tahun 350 hari — menjadi orang tertua yang mendapat nominasi Oscar. Ia juga menjadi orang yang masih hidup dan mendapat nominasi terbanyak dengan total 53 nominasi. Ia hanya kalah dari almarhum Walt Disney yang mendapat 59 nominasi.
